Is it still important in 2025?
Yes I think it is. I have just been down the rabbit hole the past week and today the 10th January 2025 am happy with my findings, lets see though. You can never fully predict what the online world of marketing is going to do but by doing some research yourself, testing what you are doing you CAN keep up with the world of algorithims, analytics, content creation and optimisation, conversions, roi, traffic and ALL the things š„µ
In our current digital landscape where information is overflowing everywhere and everyone is just a bit tired of the endless over sharing and pretentiousness of everything I think informative blogging still has it's place. It is still one of the main keys to getting your business found online and because the people who are searching for your information they actually want to know "information" about you or your business then they are already a warm lead. They are the people you want finding you and who you want to be working with.
Also now some AI tools are showing blog posts in search or relating back to a blog post to verify sources - so if your information is trustworthy, authentic and actually real then it can show up. By creating informative blog posts sharing your industry know how, your work, your years of knowledge and experience in each piece builds trust and kind of like a file of who you are and what you are working on.
From your informative blogs you then take snippets and post them on your social media channels. See which topics get the most interaction, likes, shares etc then go ahead and create a video about that snippet of content. So your long form blog which has loads of useful information in it for your potential clients gets used and re-used - modified as need be, broken up into many pieces of content which you monitor for effectiveness. By creating informative blogs you are doing the job once - writing content relating to your content pillars and re-using, refreshing, repurposing instead of trying to recreate the wheel everytime you are creating content.
So:
1ļøā£ When people interact with your content it's taking them back to your blog post - giving them value and providing them with the information they were searching for and driving traffic to your website. Once your client/customer reaches your website they can then browse through your other offerings, find out who you are and all the things...
and
2ļøā£ You are creating an easy to implement and keep on top of content strategy for yourself. For me I write blogs about whatever is coming up in my work life, what essential oil I'm working with, maybe a product that's on special, or questions I get asked all the time. In my virtual assistant world I'm always blogging about new tools I'm finding which make my own life and my clients lives easier or like this what seems to be happening in the online world.
also
3ļøā£ By creating videos as well as your text posts you are creating short form content which users across all platforms are more drawn too, thanks to Tik Tok! But then if people resonate with you they are going to going ahead and keep clicking to find out more about you and your services.
And it doesn't have to be hard. Use AI yourself for ideas then take those ideas and make them yours. Write a blog post explaining each one of your products or services and show how you use them either in your life or to help others. Keep a note of all the questions your clients or customers ask you and write a blog post about each one. They don't have to be novels, make a start with your FAQ then ask AI how to make a blog post around it. Don't copy it straight from AI make it your own - which shows your expertise, add funny pics or beautiful pics or find stock pictures, just get that info out there.

The actual nuts and bolts - Why Informative Blogging Works
It is still making a lot of sense to creat valuable and reader-centric blog posts. By honing in on the needs and interests of your audience, you can create content that not only appeals to search engines but also keeps readers engaged and coming back for more.
ā”First off, informative blogging allows you to provide your audience with valuable insights and knowledge. In a world saturated with information, people are constantly seeking answers to their questions and solutions to their problems. By offering high-quality, informative content, you position yourself as a trusted source in your field, earning the respect and loyalty of your readers.
šSearch engines are increasingly favoring websites that provide helpful and relevant information. Gone are the days of keyword stuffing and shallow content. Today, search algorithms are designed to prioritise content that meets the needs and interests of users. By putting out informative blog posts, you're not only catering to your audience but also signaling to search engines that your website is a valuable resource.
š§ Informative blogging allows you to optimise your content for relevant keywords and phrases. By conducting thorough keyword research, you can identify the terms that your target audience is searching for and incorporate them strategically into your blog posts. This optimisation not only helps search engines understand the relevance of your content but also increases the chances of your blog posts appearing in search engine results pages. You can get keyword finder tools etc but I use my Google Insights. Make sure you have your Google Analytics set up so it's tracking where your website visitors are coming from, what they are searching to find you so you can see whats working. You can also just open Google and start a search and see what comes up for instance if I was looking for some keywords to use for a post on Lavender oil I'd start typing in lavender ess..... and then I'd read and think about all the options that come up and how I could include those in my blog post.
š«±Informative blogging is not just about keywords and search engine rankings. It's also about creating a meaningful connection with your audience. By addressing their pain points, answering their questions, and providing them with actionable insights, you build trust and establish yourself as an industry leader. This trust translates into long-term relationships, repeat visits, and ultimately, conversions.

See how easy it is to find and add keywords! Of course you can go way deeper like I said and invest in keyword tools or get a keyword expert but there you go....
How to create Reader-Centric Blog Posts
Reader-Centric š° Writing with the reader in mind. So here we go back to our ideal customer/client and think about what they need to find out - what are they typing into Google to find what they are looking for? Then the blog we are creating needs to talk to them.
By taking the time to create a range of valuable and reader-centric blog posts, and building on it, first off you are getting content out there consistently, you are keeping your website fresh and up to date and you are serving your audience. While optimising your content for search engines is important, itās equally crucial to ensure that your writing resonates with your audience on a deeper level.
To create valuable blog posts, it's essential to understand your audience's pain points and address them directly. Take the time to research and understand the challenges they face, and then provide practical solutions and actionable insights. By offering actual value in your content, you not only establish yourself as an industry leader but also build trust and credibility with your readers.
As well as addressing pain points, it's vital to answer your audience's questions. Consider what questions they might have related to your niche or industry, and strive to provide comprehensive and informative answers. By positioning yourself as a reliable source of information, you not only increase your chances of appearing in search results but also encourage readers to engage with your content and share it with others.
Another key aspect of creating reader-centric blog posts is to ensure that your content is easily digestible and accessible. Use clear and concise language, break up your writing into sections or bullet points, and include relevant visuals, such as images or infographics, to enhance understanding. By making your content user-friendly and visually appealing, you increase the likelihood of readers staying engaged and coming back for more.
Ensure that your content adheres to the E-E-A-T standards and principles
Google favors content that aligns with it's traditional E-E-A-T standard.
Everyone wants their content to be found on Google to make an impression, which leads to sales. To succeed in the ever-evolving digital world, you need to ensure that your content adheres to the E-E-A-T standards and principles. When your content shows - experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness then Google will push your content up so more people can find it. By providing valuable information and expert insight, that you are the expert of - or your business knows best - share the knowledge that you have worked so hard to gain and make it work for you!
You know your stuff, let your audience and prospective clients know
To achieve this, it's important to establish your company as a go-to resource in your industry. Start by creating content that showcases your knowledge and expertise. Share unique insights, offer in-depth analysis, and provide valuable information that sets you apart from your competitors. By consistently publishing high-quality content, you position yourself as an industry leader that others can rely on for accurate and authoritative information.
Another way to demonstrate your authority is by featuring guest posts or collaborating with experts in your field. By leveraging the knowledge and credibility of others, you further enhance your reputation as a trusted source of information. Additionally, consider including testimonials or case studies from satisfied customers, highlighting the positive impact your business has had on their lives or businesses.
Engaging with your audience is crucial for establishing authority. Encourage readers to leave comments, ask questions, and share their thoughts. Respond promptly and thoughtfully to their feedback, demonstrating your commitment to providing value and building a meaningful connection with your audience.
Make sure you are utilising social proof to solidify your authority. Showcase any awards, certifications, or recognitions your business has received. Display logos of reputable organizations or partners you have collaborated with. These visual cues instill confidence in your audience and reinforce your position as an authoritative figure in your industry.
By positioning your business as an authoritative industry leader, you not only enhance your SEO efforts but also establish a strong and trustworthy online presence.
In conclusion, blogging in 2025 remains a vital tool for connecting with your audience, showcasing your expertise, and driving meaningful engagement with your business. While the digital landscape constantly shifts, the core principles of creating authentic, valuable, and reader-centric content stand strong. By leveraging your unique knowledge, addressing your audience's needs, and strategically repurposing your content across platforms, youāre building a sustainable online presence that can weather the tides of algorithm changes and social media trends.
Remember, your blog is more than just a marketing toolāitās a reflection of your journey, your expertise, and your values. So, take the time to create content that speaks directly to your audienceās hearts and minds.

šø A simple single-image post still works wonders, but keep these in mind:

Put links in the first comment, not the caption, to boost reach.
Use real images, not AI-generated ones, to stand out.
Color Background Posts
š Text posts on bright, colorful backgrounds perform surprisingly well. Use them to ask fun questions or share highly relatable content. Keep it simple and shareable!

š Stories are still underrated, but theyāre amazing for staying top-of-mind with your audience. Test out new content ideas hereāthey disappear after 24 hours, so no pressure!
